last night

I had a shit night. I lost my first game in the table tennis tournament, which I could have easily won if I hadn't made mistakes near the end, and I broke my A string just when I had planned to play guitar for a while. Yes, the A string, one of the big thick ones.

But not really.

We all went to the Auld Hoose and had a good chat and a pint of Cali 80/-. Best beer in existence, or at least out of all the ones I've tried. Then we came back via the takeaway, and came back and watched some Futurama. I considered going to the common room after, but then I realised what a good mood I was in, and thought I'd better not go there and let anyth(ing|one) ruin it. I'm not sure exactly why, I just felt great after hanging about with people who were actually having a good conversation and me being able to join in without being constantly interrupted or ignored like usual, and all the rest of it. Although it was just the usual people and everything, there was just something about it. Maybe the atmosphere, the Auld Hoose is a much nicer place than the usual ones like the Maltings and Centro, and you can actually hear everyone talk over the music. And when I say 'music', I mean... Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Pantera, Metallica... Quality. Then I went back and slept for about 10 hours, most sleep I've had for weeks, and now I'm here, about to go and buy new strings. It's all good.
